Beginning in 2008, the Fondazione Banna Spinola per l’Arte, will expand upon its teaching initiatives by inaugurating a series of short project workshops dedicated to young artists who have already taken part in activities at the Fondazione Benjamin Weil, art critic and independent curator, was invited for a second year to the Fondazione Spinola Banna per l'Arte to lead the master curatorial seminar which was held from May 31 to June 4, 2010.

As the master for the spring workshop 2009 the Foundation has selected Peter Friedl (Oberneukirchen, 1960), Austrian artist known for his versatile search and certainly one of the most interesting and sofisticated personality of his generation.

No Location Relocation is a workshop and subsequent exhibition which aimed to investigate the possibilities and limitations of site-specific art, or artwork designed for a specific location. The workshop intended to investigate the value and importance of the repositioning and re-interpretation of a concept, focusing particularly on the possibility of adding additional levels of meaning through that recontextualization.
